Several fixed vacancies available from 03/02/2025 for 12 months

  • The position provides support across the Paediatric service to provide care to outpatients within the Hospital, regional hospitals and remote communities.
  • Eligible for general registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Advanced trainee with RACP training program in General Paediatrics or Community Child Health SAC.
  • A demonstrated interest in and commitment to improving Indigenous child health.
  • Evidence of commitment to continuing education, teaching, research and quality assurance activities.
  • Support the Paediatric service to provide care to both inpatients (general paediatric and neonatal intensive care)

The Hospital:
The Hospital has 360 beds, servicing a population of over 140,000 it is a diverse population including urban, regional, and remote centres, it is a teaching hospital and is co-located with the Private Hospital. A wide range of specialist services include Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics, Intensive Care and Coronary Care, acute medical and surgical, Rehabilitation, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Mental Health.

Skills & Qualifications required:

  1. 1. Eligible for general registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. A minimum of 3 years paediatric experience incorporating inpatient and outpatient care.
  3. A minimum of 6 months experience in a neonatal intensive care unit.
  4. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact positively as a team member in a cross-cultural work environment.
  5. A demonstrated interest in and commitment to improving Indigenous child health.
  6. Evidence of commitment to continuing education, teaching, research and quality assurance activities.
