The Role:
We are seeking an Advanced Trainee Medical Oncology Registrar Full Time – Fixed Term 12 months, commencing February 2025, to join a regional Victoria setting.

The Advanced Trainee in Medical Oncology will work under the direction of the Supervisors of Medical Oncology, to get exposure and experience in managing medical oncology patients and related research.

The APT Registrar, in collaboration with other team members, will provide effective management of patients under the guidance of the Medical Oncology Consultants.

The Advanced Trainee in Medical Oncology will have direct but shared responsibility for the treatment of patients with a wide array of cancers. This will include initial assessment of patients, development of treatment plans in a multidisciplinary setting, initiation and continuation of anti—neoplastic and supportive therapies, treatment of toxicities, enrolment of patients onto clinical trials and general symptom management.
 
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • AHPRA medical registration without conditions, undertakings or reprimands
  • Successful completion of the FRACP examination
  • Acceptance into the continuation in relevant College training program if applicable
  • Successful completion of relevant post graduate years
