Dual training across two disciplines – often General Medicine and another specialty is actively encouraged and supported. Advanced Training in General and Acute Care Medicine, Haematology, Medical Oncology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Cardiology, Geriatrics, Respiratory Medicine, Palliative Care, Rheumatology/Immunology, Neurology and Infectious Diseases can all be conducted.
Most trainees are placed in a General Medicine term and subspecialty term to complement their interests during the year with dual training supported.
Advanced Trainees in General and Acute Care Medicine can undertake rotations in Haematology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Cardiology, Geriatrics, Respiratory Medicine, Perioperative Medicine, Palliative Care, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology/Immunology and Neurology. Katherine District Hospital is an excellent secondment.
Advanced Trainee positions in General Medicine are suitable for Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) trainees who have passed the written and clinical RACP exams or overseas equivalent

Skills & Qualifications required:
