Experienced Hospital Physiotherapist required from late January/early February for 6 months. Full time, Monday – Friday, 8-4:06pm (7.6 hour days). The location is just one hour from Perth. The team consists of 5 Physiotherapists, 7 Occupational Therapists, 3 Speech Pathologists, 2 Dietitians, 2 Social Worker, 1 Stroke Coordinator, 1 SAC Coordinator, 5 Allied Health Assistants.
 
The caseload is likely to be predominantly inpatients, particularly for a shorter term locums. The service has 34 bed inpatient acute ward. This ward is a mixed general ward (no ICU, cardiac unit). They have a small inpatient rehab ward also (up to 6-9 beds dependent on ward flow). There may also be some inpatient/outpatient rehab cover. The service has a large outpatient caseload (cardiac, pulmonary rehab, MSK).
 
It is preferable to have at least 2-3 years’ experience across a range of settings, including acute medical ward and inpatient/outpatient rehab. The inpatient rehab does not include early neuro rehab, it is step down rehab for some neuro, lots of ortho and deconditioning
 
Subsidised shared house accommodation is available on approval. $95 per week. There is no public transport so if you don’t have a car, you would need bike or to walk (up to 20 mins). No relocation assistance for locums. No accommodation for partners or pets.
