We are looking for Specialist/Consultant Anaesthetists to facilitate the delivery of high-quality care to patients of the Hospital and Health Service.

Must have Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists

How you will be assessed?

Hospital:
A major referral hospital – It operates a 24-hour emergency department.

Inpatient services include intensive and coronary care, acute adult inpatient mental health unit, drug and alcohol brief intervention team, a children’s ward, a special care nursery, maternity and gynaecology, a renal unit, orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, ophthalmology, endoscopy and other day procedures.

Other services include general medicine, neurology, radiation oncology, thoracic medicine, cardiology, infectious diseases, rheumatology and gastroenterology.

Essential:
Registration as a Specialist Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health practitioner Regulation Agency(AHPRA).
 Must have Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists

How you will be assessed:

• High standard of practice in the specialty of Anaesthesia and related disciplines.
• Interest and expertise in relevant sub-specialties.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, negotiation, organisational and time management and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to participate in clinical audit in order to ensure the maintenance of high standards within the Department.
• Competence as a clinical teacher at undergraduate and post-graduate medical level.
• Willingness and ability to contribute to other non-clinical professional duties which facilitate the running of the Department, promote the specialty or advance healthcare in other ways. These may include research, managerial duties, educational planning or health promotion.
