The wife is about to go to level 2 supervision and the husband is writing Fellowship exams this year. They are both keen to remain at this clinic as they each have a 5-year contract and have 3 + 4 years each to serve at this practice. Their children are entering University in Brisbane in 2021 and the GPs have committed to remaining in this township for the duration of their contracts.

The principle GP will hand over with a 6-month transition and may continue to fill locums roles or cone in for a day or two a week post-transition if mutually agreed. He has been at the clinic for 45 yrs and treats 3x generations of patients from this centre; being the only bulk billed clinic in town. With gross billings at about $1.8M for 2020, there are still growth opportunities for a Fellow of the College to bring to this practice. As a traditional country practice, there is pathology onsite ($3,200 rent per month), plus a practice nurse and mental health nurse to provide extended patient services including care plans for CDM patients.

This practice is pandemic proof and recession-proof; as one of only 2 clinics for this regional township (popln 8000). The clinic is accredited until Aug 2022, uses Medical Director and Prac Soft, and would be ideal for a VR GP to buy whose intention it was to work in the practice as that person could then assist with the mentoring and supervision requirements of the current GPs.
